Dawn of the twenty-sixth day. I woke up to a really loud zombie. I figured it had to be somewhere in the treehouse. I looked around and checked the roofs. I finally found the zombie on top of the new extension. I knocked it off the roof with my sword. After placing some torches, I returned to the main room of the treehouse. I was thinking about what I was going to do next when the parrot on my shoulder started making creeper noises again.
I was really fed up with the parrot at this point, so without thinking I killed it. I feel a little bad for the parrot (unlike the llamas), but it would have been a real safety concern leaving him be. What if a creeper snuck up behind me and I thought it was just the parrot? See my point? I’m not acting crazy. I’m just thinking logically.
Anyway, I descended down the tree and found a wandering trader at the bottom. I checked his trades and they weren’t actually terrible. I still didn’t have any emeralds, though. I thought maybe if I stuck him in a boat, he wouldn’t despawn, but google doesn’t agree, so I didn’t try. I made a mental note to find and catch my own llamas sometime.
I spent the rest of the day working on my farms. I planted some sugarcane before I spotted some cows and decided I wanted to make a cow farm. I rushed to the treehouse to grab some fencing and a lead. I crafted some cobblestone walls and was about to go and catch the cows, but I realized the sun was setting. The next morning I jumped out of bed and rushed to where I had seen the cows. Sadly, one of them had despawned. The good news is, I managed to catch one of them and I trapped it in a pen.

Then I set out toward the village. The sun was already half set when I arrived, so I went to bed in the hut I’d built last time I was there. I looked up a seed map online and found a few locations such as ruined portals and towns in the near vicinity I wanted to visit. I left my stuff in a chest in the village and set out toward the first destination.
The first destination was a village next to a ruined portal. It was quite annoying that it had to rain, but eventually I arrived at the village. I couldn’t find the ruined portal, which was a little disappointing. I wasn’t going to let this opportunity go to waste, though. I completely pillaged the village and even slept in one of their beds.

The next morning, I set out toward the second ruined portal. Supposedly, it was located on the other side of the mesa. I set out in the direction of it, and, after a little bit of walking, the mesa was in view. I found a river leading to a cool cave, and even got a really good view of the treehouse base. I found yet another cool cave I’d like to explore at some point a little bit further on. I reached the other end of the biome just as the sun started to set. I pulled out a bed I had stolen from the village and camped on to of a little hill.

I arrived at the ruined portal the next day. I’m happy I actually found it this time. I looted the portal chest. There were also pretty flowers surrounding the portal, so I picked them too. Being on the outskirts of the jungle, there were a few pandas nearby. I made sure to take a quick selfie with them before leaving. Not that it was easy to get them to stay still for the photo.

I crafted a boat and headed down the river to the alleged third and final portal. Along the way, I even found a cool mangrove swamp, but I didn’t hang around there to long, because just down the river was the supposed location of the last portal. I continued down the river and arrived at the beach. There were a ton of cute turtles, but no portal in sight. I camped out on the beach that night. The next morning, I checked one last time, but there was no sign of a portal anywhere.

I was more than ready to head back to the treehouse. I ran straight through the forest until I could see the treehouse up ahead. I climbed a tree to get a better view of it. I ran towards the treehouse and before I knew it, I was climbing the stairs to the tree. Just in time, too. The sun began to set and I made it up just in time to watch the sunset and fall asleep.

I normally focus more on building, so this was a nice change of pace. I certainly have a better idea of where everything is now, so I’d say that makes this week a success. Be sure to leave a like if you enjoyed and stay tuned for next time!
